Frequently Asked Questions
Why organic cotton?
Buying organic cotton and using toxic free dyes is a better choice for the environment, and a softer and safer choice for your little one’s sensitive skin. Today, only 0.5%* of global cotton production is organic. We source only certified organic cotton, which is widely recognized as the gold standard of sustainably produced textiles. We choose to manufacture with organic cotton as it has one of the lowest carbon impacts of any material on the market.
Some of the benefits of organic cotton:
- Avoids the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers or any other harmful chemicals
- On average uses 91% less water (80% rain-fed, reducing pressure on local water sources) and 62% less energy than non-organic cotton
- Sustains the health of soils, ecosystems, and people. It is biodegradable
- Uses only untreated seeds and prohibits the use of GMO seeds We are committed to delivering products that are clean and safe for a baby’s delicate and absorbent skin. Our garments are free of any heavy metals and toxic chemicals including; AZO, Formaldehyde, NPE/NP, Phthalates, Organotins, PFC, Antimony, etc.
Absolutely no dyes are used on the garments.
Why Pima cotton?
Simply put: Pima Cotton is the world’s best. Pima cotton makes up ~2-3% of all cotton production in the world, it’s one of the highest-quality cotton options available. It’s special because of it’s long fibers, twice the length of ordinary cotton fibers.
- A smoother, softer and brilliant sheen that doesn’t wear over time
- Exceptional durability that holds its shape wash after wash
- Softens with each wash
- Less prone to pilling and producing lint
- A lightweight, silky-soft feel
But that’s not all:
- Its breathable fabric also has the ability to hold warmth.
- Extremely absorbent and can wick away moisture - leading to dry and cool at the same time
- Hypo-allergenic and won’t irritate even the most sensitive skin types.
- It’s always harvested by hand, which is better for the cotton (softer and purer), but more importantly, for the environment
- Has a natural elasticity component

My baby has outgrown their Babysuit. What should I do now?
Reusing clothing is the most eco-friendly thing we can do! (85% of clothes end up in landfills!) Our garments are built to last the test of time. Please don’t let it end up in landfill!
Please think about giving it to a new baby in need, find a local donation center, or reselling it (we love ThredUp!).
Or, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can help donate/recycle it for you.
I am having trouble choosing the right size!
Just like adults, babies come in all shapes and sizes. While we use the standard age-related sizing, this might not necessarily work for your little one. Please take a look at our size guide, or we are always happy to help select a size that could work for your baby. Please email us at email@example.com for additional help.
Can I use the bib on other products or on its own?
Our clever Bib is specifically made for and snaps directly on to The Babysuit. It cannot be used with any other brands.
